DCZ Custom AKA Viking
I believe that this project came about because we hadn't done a Viking yet. This one we can't total credit for from the start - HOWEVER taking a considerable weight from this marker. Although deemed ultralight, we couldn't help but take a little more. Some is visible - however the trick is to take material and lighten this paint slinger WITHOUT disturbing the look!
SPECS:
- Hybrid Gen6 Grips
- LAPCO Barrel
- Cam Lock feedneck
- CP On/Off w/ Empire NANO Rail
- Anodizing done in GLOSS Smoke Acid Wash. Because this black anodizing is the brown/black, (as opposed to blue/black or purple/black) this gun has a hazy redish color on the fring between the black and smoke acid wash.
The other place we were able to drop a considerable amount of weight is on the back of this marker. The top tube was shortened and the back reshaped to match the original milling. The rest is a trade secret. Milling internally we were able to drop the overall weight of the body and parts by nearly 8% - of this already called "ultralite" milling job.
The decision was made not to disturb too much more of the exterior to keep much of the original look. Although as you can see there is considerably more material that can be removed. We estimate another 3 - 5 % of the overall body mass can be removed.
